Mental health providers join A-BE-C’s board of advisors
We are pleased to announce that three mental health providers have joined the advisory board of the Association for the Bladder Exstrophy Community (A-BE-C). All three specialize in pediatric urology and are active in the bladder and cloacal exstrophy community.
Many of the world’s leading medical experts in the treatment of bladder exstrophy have long provided their guidance and support to A-BE-C’s advisory board. Addressing the family experience and psychosocial needs of those affected by bladder exstrophy is another essential piece of providing comprehensive, optimum care. As our association grows, we recognize the importance of adding mental health providers to our board, so that the entire bladder exstrophy community can benefit from their expertise.
Please welcome our newest board members:
Emily Haddad, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in pediatric urology at the newly established Genitourinary Institute at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
Barbara Neilson, MSW, Res. Dip. S.W., RSW, is a clinical social worker in pediatric urology, currently in her 28th year at Sick Kids in Toronto, Ontario.
Dianne Price, LICSW, is a clinical social worker in the Department of Urology at Boston Children’s Hospital and a member of the Bladder Exstrophy Program’s interdisciplinary team.
